So, you've played through a valve amp... how about building one? With our amp kits, you can assemble your own high quality hand made valve amp. As with all of our products, you can be guaranteed of high quality components, competitive pricing and excellent results.

All kits are supplied with a fully punched chassis and all components needed to produce a completed amplifier, you will only need tools and a soldering iron, unless you select the no valves option. Wiring and schematic diagrams along with documentation are provided to assist you in the assembly process. The rest... is up to you!

VK Champion Currently unavailable

New Fender Style Valve Amp Kit The "VK Champion" complete with combo cab.

The kit is very similar to the Fender 5F1 "Champ" with the exception of the power supply. The valve rectifier has been replaced with silicon diodes, making the amp quieter and simpler to build.

This little amp has great tone and simplicity with only a volume control and one input jack socket. there is an extension speaker jack socket on the back panel to drive a larger speaker cab.

The kit is complete with all parts to finish, and includes the combo cabinet and 8" speaker fitted in place so when you finish building it really is ready to use.

Components

The components are all good quality and include British made transformers, carbon composite resistors and orange drop capacitors for the signal path.

Chassis

The chassis is fully punched with all holes needed, so no marking out or drilling required.

Assembly

The assembly is very simple with a colour wiring diagram, schematic wiring diagram for those that can understand the more technical approach and an assembly guide. The big difference with the wiring diagram for this kit is that wire lengths are marked along most wires, so the eyelet board can be assembled and wire's cut to the correct length before it is fitted in place. There is also an on line library of images to show stages of build, so if your not sure and need to see how it should look, there will be an image to help.

VK18 Lite

18 Watt Valve Amp Kit

If your looking for the power and freedom of your own hand builtamp, but trying to keep the size down, this one is for you.

A clone of a classic 18 watt amp, all valve 18 watt PP amplifier. 2 EL84 output valves and 2 ECC83 preamp valves. one for the preamp and one for the phase inverter. This is a one channel amplifier with tone and volume controls. Build it on a pre punched aluminum chassis as a head or combo the same chassis is used for both.

You can order your VK18 with or without Valves.

VK18VR Lite

This version is the same as the VK18 but has a valve rectifier EZ81 in place of the diode rectifier. The valve rectifier gives more sag when pushed hard.

VK5

5 Watt Valve Amp Kit

Want a little more than just Tone and Volume, this little devil should wet your appetite. With variable Treble and Bass, you can deliver some of the crunchiest sounds on the planet with this baby.

The power provided by an EL84 + 12AX7 gives you a true vintage rock tone whether you are using humbuckers or single coils. This kit is supplied with a ceramic valve base and vintage style turret tag board.

8/16 Ohm Output. The headphone jack runs a dummy load. This allows you to work it hard and get a true valve distortion.

VK5MW

5 Watt Valve Amp Kit

The VK5MV 5 Watt valve amp is similar to the VK5 but with a tone volume and master volume. The master volume allows you to push the Valves and produce a creamy 60's distortion at whatever volume level you want. The VK5MV has the same tone network and pre amp section as similar Vintage 18 Watt amps built in the 60's.

8/16 Ohm Output. The headphone jack runs a dummy load. This allows you to work it hard and get a true valve distortion. A line out level to allow recording.

Sporting the same electronics as the VK5 or the VK5MV, the VK6V6/6L6 provides a smooth crisp sound from a 6V6 or 6L6 octal base valve. In farctany of the following 8 pin octal valve's will work in this amp, 6V6, 6L6, KT66, KT77, KT88, EL34. Being cathode biased simply switch off and change the output valve, no re biasing required.
